Dr. Lager joined the faculty of the Department of Pathology at the University of Iowa and, in 1997, moved to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Under her leadership, the Mayo Clinic Renal Biopsy service grew to become one of the largest in the world. Dr. Lager has been active in medical student and resident/fellow education. She has over 75 peer reviewed publications, book chapters and abstracts and has lectured both nationally and internationally on native renal disease and renal transplant pathology. Dr. Lager also has subspecialty interests in heart transplant pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology and Urologic Pathology.
