Before joining ProPath, Dr. Litz was associate professor and co-director of the Special Hematology Laboratory at the University of Minnesota where he acquired extensive experience in the morphologic diagnosis of hematologic abnormalities. For his research activities in chronic myeloid leukemia, he became the first pathologist named Scholar of the American Society of Hematology (1991).  In 2004 he served as the president of the medical staff of St. Paul University Hospital in Dallas, TX.
